In addition to our comprehensive range of furniture and fume cupboards, we also specialize in the design and manufacture of furniture and equipment for specific environments either directly or indirectly associated with laboratories, ie. Reception Counters, Specialist Storage Facilities, Robotic Enclosures etc.
Our flexible production facility can offer many types of purpose designed equipment to suit specific requirements.
Robotic Enclosures
In response to the increasing demand for automation in the research and development sector of the industry, we have developed and manufactured several enclosures to accomodate robotic analytical equipment for large pharmaceutical companies such as Zeneca and Rhône Polenc Rorer. These units are individually designed to accomodate models by various manufacturers such as Zymark and Tecan.
Store Management
Kinetic recognise that the storage of chemicals, samples and glassware is a continuing problem in the laboratory environment. In response to this we have developed specialist storage solutions such as the the high density, pull out Fama storage unit, to accomodate the efficient storage of a high quantity of samples.
Reception Counters
Although, as our name suggests, we specialise in the installation of laboratory furniture, we are also often asked if we could manufacture reception counters to individual designs produced by architects.
As the materials and production techniques needed are very similar to those already being utilized by ourselves, our highly skilled workforce have welcomed the challenge of demonstrating their skills to work on specialist furniture and reception counters.
We have now gained a reputation with architects and contractors for producing high quality reception counters to individual designs, incorporating a variety of materials including granite, glass, stainless steel and high pressure laminates.
Our recent installations include counters at Hull Royal Infirmary Eye Hospital, University of Hull Logistics Centre, Bellfield Resource Centre and many schools in the Yorkshire area.
Washrooms and toilet cubicles
In response to demand from contractors and architects we have developed a range of toilet cubicles, wash rooms, IPS systems and vanity units. This area of business has developed over the years to become a significant part of our production capacity.
In addition to our optimum range of cubicles, we also manufacture and install high quality ranges in a variety of materials and colour options, including solid laminates.
Educational furniture
The recent increase in education budgets by the government, and the ability for schools to manage their own budgets has meant that we have needed to develop a high quality range of furniture dedicated to the education market.
Over recent years we have installed science tables, teachers benching and laboratories at some of the most prestigious schools in the UK, including St Paul’s, Worth school and Westminster school.
